Tea gathering — (Un)balance

September 3rd, 2020

The first tea gathering of autumn with an Italian friend I had not seen in two years.

As we had met in Japan, he was already experienced in tea. We shared a moment of friendship and old memories.

Thick Artemisia was prepared in a Korean bowl from the 13th century. The piece is so delicate that it requires specific care in the movements.

Matching with this earthy taste came another iranian sweet. Beads of sugar, coriander seeds and orange flower sirup.

The items were chosen to be in harmony with the white Mycelium, board.

Finally, the calligraphy of the day — (Un)balance.
